In last time I had many requests about the Real Ground Plants for 3ds Max. Now I've added a 3ds Max Version in the package. Please note that this version was translated and saved with max 2010. Hope you like it.

Bett Modeling – Erste Erfahrungen mit dem Marvelous Designer

Hallo, ich bin vor einiger Zeit auf den Marvelous Designer gestoßen und musste es jetzt unbedingt mal ausprobieren.
Die Demo ist 30 Tage im vollen Funktionsumfang nutzbar.
Also für Decken und Faltenwurf ist dieses Tool der Hammer. Bei Volumenkörpern wie Kissen hatte ich dann meine Schwierigkeiten und habe diese wieder mit C4ds Cloth erstellt.
Schaut es euch auf jedenfall mal an wenn ihr viel mit Stoffgeschichten zutun habt!

Endlich habe ich die Freigabe für einige Bilder eines Projekts bekommen welches ich vor einiger zeit immer wieder nebenbei vorran getrieben habe. Es geht um das Wohnhaus S3 von Werner Sobek.
Ich habe die komplette Geometrie von Null auf anhand der Pläne modeliert. Dies hier ist nur eine kleine Auswahl an Bildern die entstanden sind. Ich gedenke später noch mehr zeigen zu können.
Ich hoffe es gefällt soweit, Feedback ist natürlich immer gerne gesehen (Kommentarfunktion)!

Free Update – Real Ground Plants V1.1

I have some good news, today I’ve released the update Real Ground Plants V1.1.
Some improvements are done:
- sort the materiallayers in right order
- add an .lib4d file for easy drag&drop use from your content browser
- kill the proxy files, now it is needless since the update with proxy2/renderinstance (if you use an older c4d version please use the proxy file from V1)
You can use normal instances as proxy, activate the checkbox “renderinstance”
- The update works currently only upper version from Cinema 4D R12!

Free Carpaint and Asphalt Shader (vray for c4d)

Des öfteren benötige ich einen guten Autolackshader, deshalb habe ich mich mal hingesetzt und was zusammengebastelt. Auch ein Asphaltmaterial ist mit dabei.
Bitte darauf achten das es in Cinema R12 gespeichert wurde.
Now available an new Carpaint and Asphalt Shader for VrayForC4d. Please note that the Cinema version is 12 and Vray 1.2.6.

Gute Neuigkeiten, heute erschien das kostenlose Update auf die 1.2.6.
Wow echt gute Neugikeiten denn es gibt viele Verbesserungen, wie hier im Überblick:
1) Vray 2.0 core, code cleanup, updates: 1.2.6 is the code basis for 1.3 and 1.5. For version 1.2.6 we did a deep code clean up and many fixes to reported things, which was a needed step due to the many changes to the c4d core and also V-Ray core in last years. It is the first version that features the final V-Ray 2.0 sdk core inside, which brings even more speed and enhancements in many parts of the engine. And also the complete rewrite of the V-Ray integration is now finished to be fully .vrscene compatible, which is a big and important step for many future features and it finally overcomes some older limitations. 2) The main new feature is “PROXY 2”: our totally new incarnation of the proxy support and work flow. Much easier to use, even faster and less ram, support for selection tags, perfect smoothing, support for Netrender and - last not least - full animation! You simple use and normal c4d instance or mograph cloner or any plugin that supports the feature “render instance” and vray will automatically generate real V-Ray proxies of it. It does this in direct passing the data to the V-ray core without the need of local disk files (disk I/O is slow), hereby through a special process it doesn't take more ram as the old proxies but in fact even less. so you can scatter even more and faster. The new Proxy 2 feature does in fact change the way one works with in c4d and V-Ray, it combines easy of use of C4D with the speed and power of V-ray. You can scatter now even more and faster, just proxy any thing that repeats in a scene now in few clicks, with an unbeaten work flow and speed. 3) Vray Fast Fur/Hair generator Engine: This new feature is in the plugins menu of V-ray. it enables easy and fast geometry generation of fibers, grass, fur and hair. As V-Ray likes many polygons it can render this at unbeaten speed and therefore integrated. In additions it can be also used to be scattered with new proxy2 feature to generated fields of grass p.e. Fast Fur fibers can be also animated, combed or moving according to wind generators. Users of C4D versions without MAXON hair therefore now also are able to generate fur and hairs. But also for users of Maxon hair will benefits as it is easy and fast to use and render, perfect for grass or fur like hair. (the Vray Fast Fur is based on Renato Tarabellas well known Fast Fur tools) 4) small but beautiful: GI multiplier per object You can now set an multiplier on per object basis to control the GI quality, simply raise or lower the GI subdivision of IR or DMC. this can dramatically speed up and tune rendering for still and animation 5) New and More GI presets, Point and shoot modes: Just “choose and use”, this was the theme of the new 1.2.6 Gi presets.
Real Interior Details V1 (WIP#002)

Wie einige schon wissen arbeite ich an einem neuen Paket, dieses mal geht es um Innenraumdetails. Es erwieß sich bis jetzt als mehr Arbeit als gedacht aber es geht relativ gut wieder voran (vorallem bei dem pseudo sommer hier in Dland).
Ich dachte ich zeige euch mal den aktuellen Stand der Dinge. Den Bilderrahmen kennen vielleicht noch einige.

Ein kleiner Test wie die Pflanzen bei Nacht mit direkten Licht funktionieren.
BTW. bald gibt es die Pflanzen auch für 3Ds MAX !!

CINEMA 4D Release 13

Cool, jetzt wo ich auf R12 umgestiegen bin kommt die 13 raus – aber OK es war mir eigentlich klar nach der 25% Rabattaktion.
Ich muss zugeben es sind wirklich nette Verbesserungen dabei, z.B:
- Workflow and Transform tool enhancements – Object / element aligning is much improved.
- Interface / Menus Layouts have been cleaned up. Menus have been reorganized and toolbar icons have had a facelift.
- Revamped Navigation System: New cursor-based navigation automatically sets the point of interest for rotation and dolly movements…..
- Surface Manipulation: Offers flexible options with a new Infinite Axis mode that lets users start manipulation from any point and easily snap surfaces to other objects in the scene. The rotation axis can now optionally display gimbal rotation,…….
